6. International Transfers

GENEVRA operates globally. In order to fulfill your contract (deliver your jewelry), we must share your Contact Data (Name, Address, Phone Number) with our logistics partners and warehouses located outside the UK and the European Economic Area (EEA), specifically in our International Warehouses (including China).

Whenever we transfer your personal data out of the UK, we ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to it by ensuring at least one of the following safeguards is implemented:

  • We will only transfer your personal data to countries that have been deemed to provide an adequate level of protection for personal data.

  • Where we use certain service providers, we may use specific contracts approved for use in the UK which give personal data the same protection it has in the UK.

  • Specific Derogation: In the absence of an adequacy decision or safeguards, we transfer this data because it is necessary for the performance of the contract between you and GENEVRA (i.e., we cannot ship the product to you without sending your address to the warehouse where the product is stored). By placing an order, you explicitly consent to this transfer.

In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.
